O R D E R

% 25.09.2017 Counsel for the respondents has obtained instructions in terms of order dated 11th August, 2017 and states that the petitioner had filed revision petition dated 18th April, 2016, which was not entertained as it was not filed through proper channel. The petitioner claims that he had subsequently filed another revision petition by registered post on 7th June, 2016, which revision petition, it is stated, has not been received by the respondents.

The petitioner along with the writ petition has enclosed photocopy of the postal receipt for sending the revision petition on 7th June, 2016 by registered post. Counsel for the petitioner has stated that he has brought the original postal receipt in the Court. 3.

Given the aforesaid facts, we dispose of the present writ petition directing that the present writ petition would be treated as a revision

petition filed by the petitioner. However, the petitioner would formally file an application seeking condonation of delay. We hope and trust that the said application would be considered sympathetically.

The Revisionary Authority would pass an appropriate order as per law within eight weeks from the date a copy of this order is received and formal application seeking condonation of delay is filed by the petitioner.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of without any order as to costs. We clarify that in case of an adverse order, it will be open to the petitioner to challenge the same in accordance with law. We do not make any comment on merits.
