O R D E R

% 14.09.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably before Mediation Centre, Dwarka Court Complex, New Delhi on 3rd December, 2016.

Marriage of petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent on 14th July, 2017 passed by the Family Courts, South-West District, Dwarka, New Delhi.

Petitioner nos. 2 to 5 are relatives of petitioner no.1. Therefore, FIR No.353/2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Chhawla, New Delhi on the complaint of respondent no.2 may be quashed.

Respondent no. 2 is present in Court today alongwith her counsel and has been identified by SI Prabhakaran, Police Station Chhawla. Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with petitioner no.1 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She also admits having received the entire settled amount. She further submits that she is

not willing to pursue the FIR against any of the petitioners any further. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the parties and that marriage between the petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 has already been dissolved, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, FIR No. 353/2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Chhawla, New Delhi and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.

Crl.M.A.No.12951/2017 is also disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
