O R D E R
% 06.02.2018 Petitioner and respondent no.2 are known to each other. A quarrel took place between them on some trivial issue which led to registration of FIR No. 134/2016 under Sections 323/354/506 IPC against the petitioner at police station Subzi Mandi, on the complaint of respondent no.2. It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably vide Memorandum of Understanding dated 15th May, 2017, therefore, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed.
Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Naveen of police station Subzi Mandi. She admits
having settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She has no objection in case the FIR is quashed.
Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
