% 13.09.2017 It is submitted that petitioner No.1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Saket Court Mediation Centre on 11th May, 2016, therefore, FIR No.33/2016 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Sarita Vihar on the complaint of respondent no.2, may be quashed. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Malkhan Singh, P.S. Sarita Vihar. Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. Marriage of petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 has already been dissolved by a

decree of divorce by mutual consent on 2nd March, 2017 passed by the Family Courts, Saket, New Delhi. She submits that she has received the entire settlement amount. Petitioner nos. 2 and 3 are relatives of petitioner no. 1.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the parties and that marriage between the petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 has already been dissolved vide decree of divorce, in the interest of justice, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No.33/2016 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Sarita Vihar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
