O R D E R

% 16.11.2017 Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Mohinder Singh of police station Rajouri Garden. She submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that her marriage with the petitioner has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent passed by the Family Court, Central District, Tis Hazari Court, Delhi on 18th April, 2017. She admits that entire settled amount has been received by her, therefore, that is not willing to pursue the FIR and the same may be quashed.

Keeping in mind that marriage between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce and respondent no.2 is not willing to pursue the FIR, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 577/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Rajouri Garden and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
