O R D E R

% 15.02.2017 This writ petition has been filed seeking directions on the respondents to give the petitioner the benefit of the first and second financial upgradation under the ACP (Assured Career Progression) Scheme and the benefit of third financial up-gradation under MACP (Modified Assured Career Progression) Scheme.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that an order No.III/20th Bn/Estt-I/ACP-MACP/2016/21537-40 dated 17th November, 2016 has been issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs granting the petitioner, the relief prayed for by the petitioner. Under cover of a memorandum No.IV/2/12/20 BN/CASH/PV/16/424 dated 7th January, 2017, a demand draft for Rs.3,91,410/- has been forwarded with the petitioner. A photocopy of the demand draft has been

produced before this Court.

It also appears that steps have already been initiated for revision of the Pension Payment Order.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that since the relief prayed for in this petition has been granted, his client does not wish to press the writ petition. The respondents may be directed to revise the Pension Payment Order expeditiously, and release the balance arrear due/dues of the petitioner expeditiously.

The writ petition is thus disposed of as infructuous with directions on the respondents to take expeditious steps to revise the Pension Payment Order and release the consequential pensionary benefits to the petitioner. The arrears due and payable to the petitioner shall be computed and released to the petitioner expeditiously, preferably within two months from date.
