% 18.08.2017 It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably, therefore, FIR No.84/2014 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station CWC, Nanakpura on the complaint of respondent no.2 may be quashed.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Gajendra Singh, P.S. CAW Cell. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner vide Memorandum of Understanding dated 24th December, 2016, of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and is not willing to pursue

the FIR, any further. Respondent No.2 admits her signature at point 'X' on Memorandum of Understanding dated 24th December, 2016. Keeping in view the fact that petitioner and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes and that the marriage of petitioner and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent by Family Cours, Patiala House vide order dated 21.07.2017, and respondent no. 2 is not willing to pursue the FIR any further, in the interest of justice, FIR No.84/2014 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station CWC, Nanakpura and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed.
