% 17.08.2017 File has been received from the Court of Vinod Goel, J as he is on leave today.

The present petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C has been filed by the petitioners for giving the appropriate direction to the respondent No.1 and 2 to protect the life of the petitioners and take the legal action against the respondents No.3 to 5. The petitioner No.1 and 2 got married in Arya Samaj Mandir on 08.08.2017 and the petitioner no.1 has informed her brother and mother about her marriage to the respondent but they are not ready to accept the marriage of the petitioners No.1 and 2 and the respondents No.3 to 5 assaulted the petitioners on which they immediately approached the concerned police station and also sent a written complaint to the police authorities.

Learned Standing Counsel for the State submits that the petitioners will submit their address and they would immediately provide protection to them.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that both the petitioners are residing at 30/12, Gali No.6, Vishwas Nagar, Near Chintapuri Mandir, East Delhi-110032.

In these circumstances, since the petitioners are major and married and they are independent as living out of their own will and coercion. The respondents are not entitled to coerce them for any reason whatsoever. Accordingly, the respondents No.1 and 2 are directed to make assessment of threat perceived by the petitioners No.1 and 2 from the respondents No.3 to 5 and provide protection to the petitioners after making the said assessment. The mobile phone number of the Beat Constable and the SHO concerned be provided to the petitioners, and in case they receive any call from the petitioners, the same shall be attended to and taken seriously.

Copy of this order be given dasti under the signature of Court Master. Petition stands disposed of.
