% 06.07.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably before Delhi Government Mediation Centre on 4th September, 2012, inasmuch as terms thereof have been complied with. Marriage of petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent on 3rd February, 2015 passed by the Family Courts, North-East District, Vishwas Nagar, Delhi. Entire settled amount has already been paid by the petitioner no. 1 to respondent no. 2. Petitioner nos. 2 to 3 are relatives of petitioner no. 1. Respondent no. 2 is

present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Inder Veer Singh, P.S. Karawal Nagar. Respondent no. 2 submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further and the same may be quashed. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the parties and that marriage between the petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 has already been dissolved, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No. 84/2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act registered at Police Station Karawal Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
