O R D E R

% 21.08.2017 It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Counselling Cell, Family Court, Dwarka Courts, New Delhi on 21st January, 2017; therefore, FIR No.350/2016 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Binda Pur on the complaint of respondent no. 2, may be quashed. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by ASI Krishan Chander, P.S. Bindapur.

Respondent no. 2 submits that first motion has already been accepted by the Family Court, Dwarka on 20th February, 2017.

Respondent no. 2 further submits that out of settled amount of `12,00,000/-, she has already received `4,00,000/- from the petitioner at the time of acceptance of first motion. Petitioner has paid `4,00,000/- to the respondent no. 2 vide a demand draft, photocopy whereof has been placed on record. Petitioner submits that balance settled amount of `4,00,000/- will be paid to the respondent no. 2 at the time of second motion. Respondent no. 2 further submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and she has no objection in case FIR is quashed.

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between petitioner and respondent no.2 before the Counselling Cell, in the interest of justice, FIR No.350/2016 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Binda Pur, which is at the investigation stage, is quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
