% 30.12.2016 Crl.M.A. No. 20334/2016 Exemption allowed subject to just exceptions. W.P.(Crl.) No. 3724/2016 Issue notice. Mr. Kundu accepts notice on behalf of the State. He has tendered in court a status report which is taken on record. The petitioner is on parole which is due to expire on 03.01.2017. The petitioner, by this application, seeks extension of his parole by three months on the ground that his mother has undergone a hip replacement surgery on 07.12.2016 and he has to attend her. The factum of the hip replacement surgery of the petitioner's mother has been verified.
Considering the aforesaid, the parole of the petitioner is extended on
the same terms and conditions on which he was initially granted parole, for a period of two weeks with effect from 03.01.2017. The petition stands disposed of.
