% 06.02.2018 Vide the present petition, the petitioner claiming to be a registered society having 4500 members has sought a direction restraining the respondents from framing any national policy on education without considering the Central Advisory Board of Education and take the views of other statutory committees. The petitioner has also prayed that all stakeholders like the State Government, State Central Board and association of private educational and charitable societies should also be given a proportional representation in the Committee constituted under the Chairmanhip of K. Kasturirangan.

After some arguments, for the purpose of framing national policy of education, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that instead of pressing the petition on merits, he would be satisfied if the

petitioner is granted an opportunity to make a representation to the Committee already constituted and prays that the Committee be directed to consider his representation before finalising its report. It is accordingly directed that in case, the petitioner makes a representation within two weeks from today, the Committee would consider the same and if deemed necessary, grant a personal hearing to the authorized representative of the petitioner. Needless to say that the said order is being passed without prejudice to the rights and contentions of both the parties.

The petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. The pending application also stands disposed of.
