% 21.08.2017 Petitioner had sought for direction that the National Human Rights Commission should intervene in the proceedings pending before the Family Court, Madurai to ensure his protection. The learned Single Judge was of the opinion that having regard to the circumstances of the case and the NHRC's position that the appellant's complaint would be transmitted to the Commissioner of Police for appropriate action towards his protection, no direction was necessary.

This Court is of the opinion that the impugned order cannot be faulted merely because the petitioner had sought a much wider relief. The appeal is, therefore, dismissed, along with pending applications. S. RAVINDRA BHAT, J SUNIL GAUR, J AUGUST 21, 2017/vikas/
