The writ petition concerns a recruitment by the respondent No. 2 and 3 - National Textile Corporation Ltd. ["Corporation"] for the post of Joint Manager (Electronic Engineering), pursuant to an advertisement dated 02.12.2015.

The grievance of the petitioner in the writ petition was that five posts were advertised, but only four candidates had been selected. The petitioner, who was the fifth candidate, and was also called for the interview, sought a direction upon the respondents to conclude a pending inquiry into his credentials expeditiously, and declare his result. 3.

stated that an inquiry was conducted into the petitioner's work experience, and the Corporation was unable to verify his work experience certificate. His candidature was, therefore, cancelled. Copies of the inquiry reports dated 21.01.2020, and the decision of the Human Resource Sub-Committee of the Board of Directors of the Corporation, have been placed on record.

In view of the above, learned counsel for the parties submit that the present writ petition may be disposed of, leaving it open to the petitioner to challenge the rejection of his candidature, if he is so advised at this stage.

The writ petition is disposed of, with liberty as aforesaid. 6.
