% 01.02.2018 It is submitted that petitioner (husband) and respondent no.2 (wife) have settled their disputes amicably and started living together, therefore, FIR No. 994/2015 under Sections 307 IPC and Sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act registered at police station Tilak Nagar may be quashed. Respondent no.2 alleged in the FIR that she got married with petitioner on 2.12.2007 and a child was born from their wedlock, who is now aged about six years. Petitioner used to quarrel with her. He used to force her to leave her job. On 6th July, 2015 he came to her workplace under the influence of liquor, quarrelled with her and fired at her by a Katta. She sustained injury on her arm.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI

Dhananjay of police station Tilak Nagar. She submits that she has settled all the disputes with petitioner voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, inasmuch as, is living with him for the last more than 3 years. She has no objection in case the FIR is quashed. Since the husband and wife have started living together after settling their disputes amicably, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR, which is at the investigation stage, is quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
