1. Learned counsel for the Petitioner states that the only grievance of the Petitioner that remains is the payment of arrears and back-wages in the Rank of Sub Inspector (GD) with effect from 25th May, 2017, the date on which his batch-mates were granted promotion.
2. On the basis of the principle „no work no pay‟, the above request cannot be accepted. While the pay of the Petitioner as SI (GD) would be notionally fixed with effect from 25th May, 2017 and his seniority in that post would be reckoned from that date for all practical purposes, the Petitioner would not be entitled to arrears of wages.
3. With above clarification, the petition is disposed of. S. MURALIDHAR, J.
