% 05.09.2017 It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably, therefore, FIR No. 156/2010 under Sections 498-A/406 IPC registered at police station Bharat Nagar may be quashed. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Kuldeep of police station Bharat Nagar. She admits having settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that her marriage with the petitioner has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent passed by the Family Court, South District, Saket Courts, New Delhi on 18th March, 2017. In terms of the settlement, petitioner has paid `1.5 lacs to the respondent no.2 through a demand draft, photocopy whereof has been placed on record, today in Court towards the balance settled amount. Respondent no.2 submits that entire settled amount stands paid and

she is not willing to pursue the FIR and the same may be quashed. Keeping in mind the marriage between the petitioner and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved and respondent no.2 has received entire settled amount and is not interested in pursuing the FIR, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 156/2010 under Sections 498-A/406 IPC registered at police station Bharat Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
