O R D E R

% 21.08.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 23rd July, 2014; therefore, FIR No.474 /2004 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Nangloi on the complaint of respondent no. 2, may be quashed.

Petitioner nos. 2 to 6 are relatives of petitioner no. 1. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by ASI Om Prakash, P.S. Nangloi. Report of the Mediation Centre, containing the terms of the settlement has been placed on record as "Annexure E" at pages 58 and 59. Respondent no. 2 submits that

her marriage with petitioner no. 1 has already been dissolved by an ex parte decree of divorce dated 12th October, 2010, which has been accepted by the respondent no. 2. Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. Respondent no. 2 further submits that now she has remarried and is not willing to pursue the FIR any further. Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between petitioners and respondent no.2, in the interest of justice, FIR No.474 /2004 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Nangloi and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
