1. In terms of the previous order, learned counsel for the Petitioner had confined his relief to prayer (b) which reads as under: "(b)Issue a writ of mandamus further directing the Respondents to allow the Petitioner to appear in the competitive examination to be held in future for selection for posting to IMTRAT Signal Company (Bhutan) in the vacancy of HAV/CHM (Operator-Cipher), in case for any reason he is not posted to IMTRAT until 31.12.2018."

2. Today, learned counsel for the Respondents has produced before the Court a letter dated 17th October 2018 from the Senior Record Officer wherein it is stated as under:

2. It is submitted that No. 15671443P Hav (Now CHM) (Op Ciph) Jayan V was screened in the rank of Hav. As per para 2 of DG Sigs (sigs 4(b) Standing Operating Procedure Case file No. B/44368/Sigs 4(b-2) IMTRAT/R dated 27th May 2013 to IMTRAT (Copy att), WE 4511/20009/1 for Indian Military Training Team, Bhutan (Copy att) and para 3 (b) of DG Sigs letter No. B/44344/Sigs 4 (b-2)/IMTT/R dated 07 Jul 2017 (Copy att), candidate will be screened for IMTRAT Panel based on Trade and Rank structure.

However, NCO have all opportunities/chances to screen iin his next rank/future service subject to service profile meeting the eligibility criteria as and when seniority comes up.
