Issue notice. Mr. Khan accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. 3.

Learned counsel for the respondent says that he does not wish to file a reply as he does not object to the prayer made in the petition, which is to seek extension of time for conclusion of the arbitration proceedings. 4.

I am informed by the counsel for the parties that the learned Arbitrator entered upon reference on 12.4.2017 and that vide order dated 23.9.2017, time for conclusion of arbitration proceedings was extended with mutual consent of the parties by another six (6) months. O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 301/2018

To be noted, this extension was, it appears, granted by the parties in anticipation that perhaps, the arbitration proceedings would not conclude within the statutory period of twelve (12) months. 6.

I am informed by counsel that the parties have concluded the arguments in the matter and that what they are required to now do is to file their respective written submissions.

Accordingly, I am inclined to extend the time for rendering and publishing the award by another three (3) months. 7.1 The said period will commence from 12.10.2018. 8.
