The petitioner has moved the present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for quashing of FIR No.913/2015, under Sections 354/506/509 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at PS: Ranhola, Delhi and the proceedings emanating therefrom.

The petitioner and respondent No.2 as well as learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the parties have settled their disputes on their own free will without any force, pressure or coercion, vide Compromise Deed dated 22.09.2018 with the intervention of respectable persons of the society and elders of both the parties. The parties also submitted that they do not want to proceed further with the case and the petition may be allowed and the FIR may be quashed.

The Investigating Officer ('IO'), who is present in Court, has identified the petitioner as well as respondent No.2 and the IO has also verified the settlement arrived at between the parties.

Respondent No.2, present in Court along with her father, submitted that the petitioner has tendered unconditional apology to her and her family members. Respondent No.2 further submitted that, in view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, the petition may be allowed. 5.

In view of the aforesaid circumstances, the settlement arrived at between the parties, the unconditional apology tendered by the petitioner to respondent No.2 and her family members and that the parties want to live peacefully and harmoniously as good citizens, this Court is of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the parties entangled in the criminal proceedings. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 913/2015, under Sections 354/506/509 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 , registered at PS: Ranhola, and the proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in above terms.
