% 01.09.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Mediation Cell, Special Police Unit for Women & Children, Nanakpura, New Delhi on 4th March, 2015, therefore, FIR No. 168/2013 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Crime (Women) Cell on the complaint of respondent no.2, may be quashed. Petitioner nos. 2 to 4 are relatives of petitioner no.1. Respondent no.2 is present in Court alongwith her counsel and has been identified by Inspector Asha, P.S. Crime (Women) Cell. She submits that her marriage with the petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a
decree of divorce by mutual consent passed by the Family Court, Central District, Tis Hazari Court, Delhi on 28th September, 2016. She further submits that she has already received the entire settled amount from the petitioner no. 1. She admits having settled the matter with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and is not willing to pursue the FIR any further.
Keeping in mind that marriage between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by mutual consent and respondent no. 2 is not willing to pursue the FIR any further, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 168/2013 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Crime (Women) Cell and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
