% 01.02.2018 The State has filed a further status report on record dated 30.01.2018. We have perused the same. The polygraph test of Kesar Ali has been conducted and he has been found to be truthful. The State appears to have taken several steps which are taken in routine in such like cases. The status report also mentions about the "No More Missing" Facebook Page stated to have been created by a good Samaritan, where particulars of missing children are uploaded by the public at large. On our query, we are informed that such facility is not available to the citizens in respect of the Facebook Page maintained at different levels by the Delhi Police. Mr. Mehra states that there is only one-way traffic on the said Facebook Page maintained by the State, inasmuch, as, only the Delhi Police is able to upload the particulars of the missing persons.

We are of the view that the Delhi Police should examine the feasibility of the citizens being provided with an avenue to upload particulars of missing children, and all such information received, after due verification, could be uploaded on the Facebook Page of the Delhi Police at different levels.

The status report also mentions that a letter of request dated 24.01.2018 has been sent to the Deputy Director, UIDAI, Pragati Maidan to seek the details of Aadhar card of the missing child, to find out if his identity is being used by any person, anywhere. Since the request letter is pending, we direct the Deputy Director, UIDAI, Pragati Maidan to expedite his decision on the said application. A copy of this order be communicated to the said authority by the I.O. concerned.

In our view, the matter does not require any further monitoring at this stage, since the State has taken all possible steps which could have been taken in the matter till this stage. We, therefore, dispose of this petition with a direction to the State to continue with its effort to locate the missing child and to keep the petitioner informed about the progress of the case once in every month. In case any leads are provided by the petitioner, the I.O. shall seriously examine the same.
