% 09.11.2017 Respondent no.2 is present in the Court along with her counsel and has been identified by ASI Devender of Police Station Uttam Nagar. Respondent no.2 says that she has settled the matter with petitioner no.1 before the Counsellor, West District on 8th July 2017 (Annexure P-2) Respondent no. 2 submits that she has already received the entire settled amount.
She further submits that she has settled the disputes with the petitioner no.1 of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and she is not willing to pursue FIR against the petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 and 3 and, therefore, the same may be quashed. Marriage of respondent no.2 with the petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent passed by the Family Courts, West District, Delhi on 9th August, 2017.
Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case as detailed above more particularly, the fact that marriage between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved, in the interest of justice, FIR 485/2014 under Sections 406/498A/34 IPC registered at police station Uttam Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating thereform are quashed.
