Learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State accepts notice. 3.

By this petition, the petitioner seeks extension of parole granted to him by the Government of NCT of Delhi vide order dated 24th September, 2018. The petitioner had sought parole on the ground that he had to reestablish social ties and file a special leave petition before the Hon'ble Supreme Court for which he was required to engage an advocate and W.P.(CRL) 3119/2018

arrange funds for the same.

The Government of NCT of Delhi vide order dated 24th September, 2018 granted parole for a period of 2 weeks pursuant whereto petitioner was released on 25th September, 2018 and for the said parole the petitioner is required to surrender on 11th October, 2018 i.e. tomorrow. Petitioner states that during this period of 2 weeks, he has not been able to settle the special leave petition and needs some more time.

Considering the fact that the petitioner is already out on parole for a period of 2 weeks and as per the nominal roll, the petitioner was granted interim suspension of sentence by this Court during the pendency of appeal on number of times which concession he did not misuse, this Court deems it fit to extend the parole granted to the petitioner. It is therefore directed that the parole granted to the petitioner for a period of 2 weeks pursuant to the communication dated 24th September, 2018 of the Deputy Secretary (Home) copy whereof is annexed as Annexure-A to the present petition is extended for a further period of 2 weeks on the same terms and conditions as imposed vide communication dated 24th September, 2018. Petition is disposed of.
