By way of this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. the petitioner is seeking quashing of FIR No.0571/2017 under Section 354/354(A)/509/323/34 IPC, registered at PS Nand Nagri, Delhi. 2.

Notice. Learned APP as above accepts notice on behalf of the State. 3.

The petition seeking quashing of the FIR 0571/2017 has been filed on the basis of the settlement without the settlement being placed on record. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the settlement was oral between the two families.

Quashing of the FIR in criminal proceedings cannot be done on the basis of some oral settlement between the families unless the settlement is made voluntarily by the complainant and terms are reduced into writing. 5.

This petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to move the Court if the parties enter into some written settlement. PRATIBHA RANI, J.
