CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

% 11.10.2018 Notice. Learned APP accepts notice on behalf of respondent no.1. Respondent no.2-Piryanka is present in Court and accepts notice. She has been identified by SI Naveen of police station Kanjhawala. She says that she has settled the matter with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Rohini District Courts, Delhi vide Settlement / Agreement dated 4th August, 2018. She further says that in view of the settlement, she has no objection in case FIR No.461/2015 under section 354A IPC registered at police station Kanjhawala and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed against the petitioner. Affidavit of respondent no.2, to this effect, is on record.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR is quashed against the petitioner.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti. A.K. PATHAK, J OCTOBER 11, 2018 sm
