This petition under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996(hereinafter referred to as the „Act‟) has been filed by the petitioner seeking extension of time for making of the Arbitral Award by the Arbitral Tribunal adjudicating the disputes that have arisen between the parties.

Counsel for the respondents, who appears on an advance notice, submits that the respondents have no objection if the time for making of the Award is extended. She, infact, submits that the time for making of the Award be extended by a further period of three months so that incase of any delay in the passing of the Award, the parties do not have to approach this Court again.

Having considered the contents of the petition and no objection

given by the counsel for the respondents, time for making of the Award by the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a further period of two months with effect from 17.10.2018.

The petition is allowed in the above terms with no order as to costs.
