W.P.(CRL) 2386/2017 The petitioners, who are of age, have married voluntarily without any pressure from any quarter. The marriage is not to the liking of the parents of petitioner No.1. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioners that when parents of petitioner No.1 were informed telephonically about the marriage, they threatened the petitioners of dire consequences. In fact, as has been stated by the petitioners, the parents of petitioner No.1 threatened to kill the petitioners for saving the honour of the family. The petitioners shall provide their residential addresses to Mr. Lao, learned Additional Standing Counsel, who shall transmit the same to the
Officer in-charge/SHO of the concerned Police Station. The SHO of the concerned police station is directed to ensure the safety of life and liberty of the petitioners in the meanwhile. The petitioners shall be given the telephone numbers of the two police personnel of the concerned police station and in case of any call from the petitioners in the time of necessity, the same shall be responded with utmost dispatch. The SHO of the concerned police station shall also, if possible, depute a beat police who, at least will visit the residence of the petitioners once a day.
