% 27.11.2015 The petitioner No.1, after changing her religion, married petitioner No.2.

Petitioners No.1 and 2 are majors and the decision to convert to another religion and marry each other is without any threat, coercion or pressure from any quarter.

The aforesaid inter-religious marriage has not been accepted by the relatives of both the petitioners. Initially, there were some objections and the petitioners were threatened also.

However, with the petitioners now staying in Mumbai, such apprehension no longer exists. However, there are some relatives of petitioners No.1 and 2, who are staying in Delhi. The apprehension of the petitioners is only with respect to the safety of such relatives of theirs.

Ms.Kamna Vohra, Additional Standing Counsel, submits that the

status report fairly reveals that now no such apprehension exists. Be that as it may, the petitioners would be provided with the telephone number of the SHO and another officer of Police Station Mangol Puri so that in case of any necessity, the Police Station could be informed. Needless to say that the Police is required to act in accordance with law, considering the gravity of the situation. Since the apprehension of being troubled at the hands of the relatives of each of them no longer exists, this petition is being disposed of with the aforesaid direction.
