% 16.11.2018 This petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 has been filed by the petitioner seeking extension of time for making of the Award by the Arbitral Tribunal adjudicating the disputes that have arisen between the parties.

The learned counsel for the respondent submits that the respondent has no objection if the time for making of the Award is extended by this Court, however, such extension should be confined to a period of six months as the Arbitral Tribunal is already in the process of hearing arguments. A perusal of the petition suggests that the Arbitral Tribunal started hearing arguments on 23.03.2018.

In view of the above, the time for making of the Award by the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a further period of six months with effect from today. It is hoped that the Arbitral Tribunal will conclude its

proceedings within the extended time.

The petition is allowed in the above terms, with no order as to cost. NAVIN CHAWLA, J NOVEMBER 16, 2018/rv
