O R D E R

% 15.10.2018 Learned counsel for petitioner submits that matter has been settled with the respondent no.2, in as much as settled amount has already been paid to it and, therefore, FIR No.206/2018 under section 135 Indian Electricity (Amendment) Act, 2003 registered at police station Sarita Vihar and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, may be quashed.

Learned counsel for respondent no.2 admits the factum of settlement arrived at between petitioner and respondent no.2 and also affirms the payment of entire settled amount to the respondent no.2 by the petitioner. Learned counsel for respondent no.2 submits that in view of the settlement, respondent no.2 has no objection in case the aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed against the petitioner. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
