% 25.08.2017 The petitioner's grievance is that despite publication of NIT sometime in the year 2015, the respondent -Delhi Development Authority has not taken any further step towards finalizing the Award of contract for use of open spaces, for the purpose of marriages etc. The petitioner is a registered tent house enterprise.

Mr. Sanjeev Sabharwal, Standing Counsel for DDA appears on advance notice and states on instructions that the process of finalizing the contract was held up on account of a pending litigation before this Court and that writ petition was however disposed of in January, 2017. It is

further stated that thereafter the policy framed in this regard has been sent to the Lieutenant Governor for approval. Learned Counsel for DDA submits that the further process of continuing e-auctioning of the public space/ spaces would be taken in accordance with the approved tender within two weeks of receipt of approval by the Lieutenant Governor. In view of these assertions, the Court takes on record these statements and dispose of the writ petition.

The writ petition and pending applications are accordingly disposed of.
