CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 07.02.2019 Notice. Respondent no.2 Ms. Madhu is present in Court and accepts notice.

She has been identified by SI Sandeep Rawal of police station Kalyan Puri.

It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 are related to each other. A quarrel took place between them on some trivial issue, which led to registration of FIR no. 266/2014 under Sections 323/341/506/34 IPC at police station Kalyanpuri on the complaint of respondent no. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that respondent no. 2 had sustained simple injuries in the incident. With the interventions of their elders in the

family, petitioners and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably. During the investigation, Section 506 IPC was deleted and Section 308 IPC was added.

Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with petitioners of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and she has no objection in case aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed against the petitioners. Affidavit of respondent no. 2 to this effect is on record. Keeping in mind that petitioners and respondent no. 2 are relatives and now they have settled the matter voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti. A.K. PATHAK, J.
