The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to the respondent no.9 and 10 to file the chargesheet expeditiously. A status report has been filed, which indicates that the investigations are underway. It is also pointed that sanction under Section 197 of the Cr.P.C. against U.P. Police Personnel is required. 2.

Mr Rahul Mehra, learned Standing Counsel submits that the sanction to prosecute SI Narender Gupta has been obtained and sanction to prosecute Mr Ajay Pal (incorrectly referred to as Haripal in the memo of parties) is awaited.

In view of the above, no orders are required to be passed in this petition. It is expected that the concerned authorities shall act expeditiously. 4.

The petition is dismissed.
