The present petition has been filed by the petitioner praying inter alia for quashing and setting aside the Signal dated 01.08.2018, whereby he has been posted from 187 Bn. to 90 Bn. at Anantnag and has been detached from the Central Office of CPC. 2.

Mr.Chhibber, learned counsel for the petitioner states that aggrieved by the Signal dated 01.08.2018, the petitioner met his senior officers, who had advised him to move an application seeking cancellation of his transfer. Pursuant thereto, the petitioner had submitted an application to the Inspector General (Personnel), Directorate General, CRPF on 05.10.2018 for cancellation of his transfer.

Learned counsel states that the respondents have so far not decided the aforesaid representation and on the other hand the petitioner is being pressurised to report to the new place of posting. Counsel for the respondents states that she could not receive any instructions from the Department as the copy of the paper-book was not available with them.

Having regard to the limited relief prayed for in the present petition, the respondents are directed to consider and decide the pending representation dated 05.10.2018 submitted by the petitioner for cancellation of his transfer within two weeks under written intimation to him. Till the said representation is decided, the respondents shall not insist on the petitioner reporting to the new place of posting.

If the petitioner is aggrieved by the decision of the respondents, he shall be entitled to seek legal recourse as may be advised. 6.

The petition stands disposed of alongwith the pending application.
