% 12.03.2019 These cases concern FIRs filed by two neighbours against each other's families. Counsel submitted that the parties have settled their CRL.M.C. 5422/2018

disputes and entered into a compromise deed dated 16.08.2018, which has been placed on record. The complainants in both cases (Smt. Kanchan in FIR No. 06/2016 at P.S. Sagar Pur and Smt. Usha in FIR No.08/2016 at P.S. Sagar Pur) are present in Court and have been identified by the I.O. They have filed their affidavits stating that they have no objection to the quashing of the proceedings. They have submitted that they have entered into the compromise of their own free will and volition, and have not been pressurised or coerced in any manner.

In the circumstances, no purpose would serve in keeping the FIRs and the proceedings pursuant thereto, pending. Consequently, the petitions are allowed and FIR No. 6/2016 dated 03.01.2016 and FIR No. 8/2016 dated 04.01.2016 at PS Sagar Pur, New Delhi, as well as the proceedings arising out of the said FIRs are quashed.

The petitions are disposed of.
