Notice to respondent no. 2 also. He is present in court and accepts notice. He is being represented by his counsel. He is duly identified by the SI Parveen Kumar.

The petitioners have invoked the writ jurisdiction of this court under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (in short 'Cr.PC') for quashing of the FIR bearing No.242/2017, registered on 11.08.2017 with Police Station Rani Bagh, North West, Delhi under Sections 384/120B IPC on the complaint of respondent No.2.

Learned APP through the I.O. submits that the charge sheet has not so far been filed. He also submits that the petitioners and complainant have settled the matter.

After three days from the registration of the said FIR, the respondent No.2 and the petitioners have amicably resolved and settled all their disputes on 14.08.2017. The respondent No.2 had paid a sum of Rs.One lakh to the petitioners. Both the petitioners and respondent No.2 present in the court submit that they have willingly settled the matter without any force or coercion. The respondent No.2 submits that he does not want to pursue the said FIR. He submits that the said FIR may be quashed.

In the circumstances, when the matter has been settled between the parties, no purpose would be served in further pursuing with the said FIR. Hence, to secure ends of justice, the FIR bearing No.242/2017, registered on 11.08.2017 with Police Station Rani Bagh, North West, Delhi under Sections 384/120B IPC and proceedings arising out of the same are hereby quashed subject to deposit of cost of Rs.10,000/- by the petitioners and also Rs.10,000/- by the respondent no.2 with the Prime Minister's Relief Fund within four weeks from today. Copy of receipt be filed within two weeks thereafter and copy of the same be also supplied to the IO/SHO.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
