This petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C., praying for issuance of directions to the respondents No.2 to provide protection to the petitioner and her friend Mr. Vikas Behl from respondent no.3 and his other family members.

Status report has been filed to the following effect: "Most respectfully it is submitted that petitioner Nagma Khan D/o Manzoor Khan R/o Chattabul Kulgam, Anant Nag, J&K filed petition for protection before the Hon'ble High Court as she is living with Vikas Behl @ Aman Khan S/o Abhilash Chandra Behl R/o 477/23, Lakshmi Garden, Gurgaon in a livein-relationship. In this regard it is submitted that petitioner and her partner are living peacefully at R-257, 3rd Floor, W.P.(CRL) 1632/2015
Jogabai Extn., Jamia Nagar. Undersigned, Division officer and beat staff of the area are in contact with them. Beat Staff were also directed to visit to their house regularly and provide help to them whenever they need help. Mobile numbers of staff were also provide to them."

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is satisfied with the assurance given by the State to provide her protection till the threat perception is there. It is further submitted that in view of the status report, the petitioner does not want to continue with the writ petition and the same may be dispose of accordingly.

As the State has assured to provide necessary protection to the petitioner till the threat perception is there, the writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
