W.P.(CRL) 1631/2015 The petitioner was released on parole for one month from the date of her release for the purpose of filing SLP before the Supreme Court of India by order dated 11.6.2015 passed in W.P. (Crl.) 1219/2015. By the present petition extension of parole is sought for certain medical tests which are required to be conducted for the painful movement of knee joints of the petitioner.

The period of parole expires today.

This practice of seeking extension on the last day is deprecated by this

Court.

Nonetheless, since the prayer is for extension of 7 days only so that the medical tests could be conducted, this court, with some reluctance, is inclined to grant extension of parole to the petitioner. Let it be made clear that no further extension of parole would be granted.

The petitioner is directed to surrender after 7 clear days from today. In case she does not surrender, all coercive steps be taken against her. The petition for extension of parole is allowed. The conditions imposed on the petitioner during the period of parole would continue in the present extended period of parole also. A copy of this order be communicated to the Superintendent of the concerned Jail for information and compliance. Dasti.
