% 11.05.2018 On the last date of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners had sought time to seek instructions whether in view of the fact that the relief was sought in respect of academic year 2017-18, the petitioners would still be interested in pursuing the matter. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he has been able to get instructions only from petitioner nos.1 & 2 who have secured admission in other colleges and, therefore, are not interested in pursuing the present petition. He submits that though he has not been able to contact the remaining petitioners, they may have also secured admission in other colleges.

Having examined the facts, I am of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the petition pending. Accordingly, the petition and application are dismissed as

infructuous. However, liberty is granted to learned counsel for the petitioners to move an appropriate application, if the need so arises. The writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. REKHA PALLI, J MAY 11, 2018/aa
