The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking cancellation of the marriage certificate.

It is the petitioner's case that the same had been obtained by playing a fraud and by threatening the petitioner.

A plain reading of the FIR lodged by the petitioner's father indicates that "a love and friendly affair" had developed between the petitioner and respondent no.2. Nonetheless, it has been complained that the petitioner had been threatened and coerced into getting married to respondent no.2. 4.

Clearly, the controversy raised involves disputed questions of fact and this Court does not consider it apposite to examine those in these proceedings. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to file appropriate proceedings. VIBHUBAKHRU, J OCTOBER 13, 2017/pkv
