O R D E R

% 28.07.2016 By this petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No. 348/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Punjabi Bagh. The petitioner is the husband of the complainant. The allegations against the petitioner are of cruelty, harassment and demand of dowry. The parties were referred to the Mediation Centre, however no settlement could be arrived at between the parties. To show his bonafide, the petitioner is willing to deposit a sum of `2 lakhs with the Registrar General of this Court. Learned APP for the State on instructions from the Investigating Officer submits that as and when the petitioner was called to join investigation, he joined the investigation.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. It is therefore directed that in the event of arrest, the petitioner be released on bail on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of `25000/- with one surety of the like amount, subject to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer/SHO concerned, further subject to condition that the petitioner will join the investigation as and when directed and will not leave the Country without prior permission of the learned Trial Court.

As undertaken, the petitioner will deposit a sum of `2 lakhs with the Registrar General of this Court within two weeks. The amount so deposited will be kept in the FDR and will be subject to final orders to be passed by the Family Court while settling the issues between the parties. Petition and the applications are disposed of. Order dasti.
