Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no. 1. Respondent no.2-Ranjeet is present in Court and accepts notice. He has been identified by SI Mahendra of police station Adarsh Nagar. Petitioner and respondent no.2 are known to each other as they reside in the same locality. A quarrel took place between petitioner and respondent no.2 on some trivial issue which led to registration of FIR No.232/2017 under Sections 392/506 IPC registered at police station Adarsh Nagar on the complaint of respondent no.2. Respondent no.2 says that he has settled the matter with petitioner of his own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion vide Compromise/Settlement Deed dated 29th September, 2018 and in view of the settlement, he has no objection in case aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed against the petitioner.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the FIR pending. Accordingly, aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed against the petitioner.
