The petitioner is seeking expeditious trial of the divorce petition filed by him on 8th November, 2012. It is submitted that despite the order dated 16th January, 2017 directing the Family Court to expedite the matter, the case is still pending at the stage of recording of the petitioner's evidence. 2.
Learned counsel for the respondent submits that the respondent is not responsible for the delay. It is submitted that the respondent agrees not to seek any unnecessary adjournment before the Family Court. Learned counsel for the petitioner also agrees not to seek any unnecessary adjournment before the Family Court.

The petition is allowed and the Family Court is directed to expedite the trial and endeavour to decide the same within a period of nine months from today.

Copy of this order be given dasti to counsel for the parties under the signature of the Court Master.
