The petitioners have filed the present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for quashing of FIR No.133/2013 under Sections 341/323/325/354/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (IPC), registered with Police Station Kotwali, New Delhi and the proceedings emanating therefrom.

Petitioners and the respondent No.2 submitted that they have settled the matter vide settlement dated 8.6.2018 before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on their own free will, without any force or coercion, in terms whereof it was agreed that the parties would not pursue the matter further against each other and

their disputes stand resolved with each other. It was also agreed that in terms of the settlement, respondent No.2 shall pay a sum of Rs.40,000/- to petitioner No.1 in this Court. 3.

Learned counsel for the respondent No.2 submitted that they have brought a demand draft for an amount of Rs.40,000/- bearing No.888633 dated 22.11.2018 which has been handed over to the petitioner No.1 in Court today.

The Investigating Officer present in the Court identified the petitioners as well as the respondent No.2 and verified about the settlement.

In view of the aforesaid circumstances and the settlement arrived at between the parties, this Court is of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the parties entangled in the criminal proceedings. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No.133/2013 under Sections 341/323/325/354/34 of the IPC, registered with Police Station Kotwali, Delhi and the proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in above terms.
