This writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking an appropriate direction for setting aside the impugned order dated 01.10.2014 by which the application for allotment of an alternative plot was rejected on the ground of delay on the part of the petitioner. 2.

The case of the petitioner is that the agricultural land situated in Village Garhi Mandu, which was owned and possessed by the petitioner. The same was acquired by an award dated 19.06.1992. Possession of the said agricultural land was taken over on 25.01.2000 and compensation was also paid on 21.06.2001. As per the rehabilitation policy, on account of acquisition of land, the petitioner got prepared the application and affidavit etc. and submitted the same with the respondent on 08.07.2003. On 01.10.2014, the application of the petitioner was rejected on the ground of delay.

Today in a connected matter being W.P.(C) No.11969/2018, title 'Sh.Kunwar Pal v. Govt. of NCT of Delhi', this court passed the following

orders:

"The concerned recommendation committee/appropriate officer will deal with the application of the petitioner for allotment of an alternative plot as per law in the right of the dicta of the aforesaid judgment of the Division Bench of this court as noted above. Needful be done within four weeks from today." 4.

For the same reasons as given in the said writ petition i.e. W.P.(C) No.11969/2018, the present writ petition is also allowed. The applications are also disposed off accordingly.
