% 20.08.2019 Present writ of habeas corpus has been filed by the petitioner/father seeking production of his minor daughter - Ms.Fareen aged about fifteen years.

On the last date of hearing, the petitioner/father wanted to withdraw the writ petition on the ground that he had been threatened. Consequently, we had directed the police to ensure that no bodily harm or injury is caused to the petitioner as well as his family members. The leads and suspects mentioned by the petitioner were directed to be reinvestigated by the police. Further news about the disappearance of Ms.Fareen was permitted to be published in the electronic, social or print media by the police according to its discretion.

A detailed status report dated 20.08.2019 has now been placed on record. Though the missing person has not been found, yet all the leads pointed out by the petitioner have been investigated. A reward of Rs.1 lakh has also been announced for help in searching the victim. Since, this is the 10th status report filed in the present case, the present writ petition is closed with a direction to the Delhi Police to file a status report before the concerned Trial Court at least once a month after serving an advance copy to the petitioner.

With the aforesaid direction, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
