This is a petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 read with Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking quashing of FIR No.525/2018, under Sections 323/341/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at PS:New Usmanpur, Delhi.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners and the complainant are close neighbours as they live in the same locality. However, due to certain differences, disputes arose between them.

Both the petitioners and the complainant are present in Court and stated that they have entered into a compromise vide

Memorandum of Settlement dated 27.9.2018 on their own free will, without force or coercion and they now want to live peacefully. A copy of the Memorandum of Settlement stated to have been earlier furnished to the concerned DCP, District North East vide DD No.70-B.

The Investigating Officer, present in Court, has identified the parties and stated that there is no other criminal case pending between them except the aforesaid FIR. 5.

In view of the aforesaid circumstances, the submissions made and the settlement effected between the parties, this Court is of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the parties entangled in the criminal proceedings. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 525/2018, under Sections 323/341/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at PS:New Usmanpur, Delhi and the proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in above terms.
