% 13.03.2018 Vide the present petition, the petitioner has sought a direction to the respondent to accept her representation seeking re-admission to the Bachelor Degree Course in Science (Nursing) at the Safdarjang Hospital. Though notice of the present petition was issued, none of the respondents have filed any counter affidavit. Today, Ms.Ekta Sikri, learned counsel for the respondent no.2/University submits that the petition has become infructuous as the University in its meeting held on 8th December, 2017, has taken a decision in the following terms:- "In view of the records perused, the Committee is of the view that the student Ms.Sugandha Yadav has suffered
enough for an act of immaturity and she is now repentant about her mistake. She may be allowed to continue studies in B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing at College of Nursing, Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College, Safdarjung Hospital from second year onwards from the academic session 2017-18. As for the period lost in between, the period be considered as condoned and the regular period of studies (N) years to be considered in the interest of student as to be the academic session 2019-20 for this instant case. Her N+2 years shall end in the academic session 2021-22. The College may be directed to allow the student to continue the course and all proceedings stated as to be disciplinary and/or pending, if any, be closed. The College may also be directed to facilitate her studies."
A copy of the aforesaid minutes of the meeting of Respondent no.2 has been handed over to learned counsel for the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner after having perused the same, submits that in view of the decision taken by the University and the consequential directions to be given to the respondent no.3/College, she does not wish to pursue the present petition any further and prays that the Petition may be disposed of as not pressed.
